Dehydration is the state of your body losing liquid more than the intake liquid. visual migraine Is it true that dehydration makes headache ? May be it is wrong, or may be it is true and many of you have ever experienced such a stress headache when you are in a place of stuffy, less circulation and hot weather. Well, I have been realizing that it is absolutely true that such a situation will make you easier to get a headache especially if you don’t keep drinking much more water or kind of isotonic and oxygen drinking will be better. Last week from the time I wrote this article, I have some work to do in my company’s warehouse, so in the morning I took a car ride to the warehouse, it was about 45 minutes till I arrived, then I started to do my job, which is troubleshooting a pc in a hot and stuffy warehouse. 2 hours later, my head comes to a slight dizziness, and yes I just realized when my body had made a signal with the slight dizziness, I should stop my work for a while and look for some fresh air, but that didn’t happen to me.. I kept working to finish the troubled pc and unwittingly not drinking any water since arrived.. and yes, 1 hour later, I can’t stand any more, my head felt like shaking around and heavy… no more thinking, I just got up from my chair and find some water to drink, and of course a cool water which is totally not good for the body in the state of hot because it will shock your body and make your headache a greater pain due to the constant stimulation to nerves converting the body temperature from hot to cool. Short telling my headache was finally recover after I did several things which are :
- Drink an isotonic drinks
- Get some snacks to eat
- Get a cigarette to smoke
here are some of explanation of the points above, when our body is in the stuffy and hot room, it produces more sweat that contains electrolyte like ion and cation which means your body is losing more liquid. Isotonic drinks contain this electrolyte could be found in coconut water. Coconut water is very good to replace lost liquid in body better than usual water.
While snacks contain carbohydrates which is good to feed the brains that lost its fuel when working and make a headache if not soon be refilled.
And cigarette, well many expert will not agree to this statement.. but for some people and me, cigarette helps us feel relax, It due to dependency or addiction I think.
So in conclusion, I can say that if you have suddenly get headache when you are doing your job, that means your body has sent you a signal for you to stop your work for a while. Find some fresh air outside the work place, Rinse your hands and face, drink more water. Hopefully, you will stay free of headache soon.
