There Is No Perfect Body:
I get so frustrated with this image of ‘perfect’. It doesn’t exist. When I was looking for images for this website I came across pictures of a ‘perfect’ (as the men who created the website called it) butt on a woman. “Well”, I think to myself, “if I was an insecure person, I would be telling myself that I was imperfect.”
The stereotype applies to men and women. Men who are skinner try everything to be big, when it’s just never going to happen. While some men are naturally big and they will never be smaller. When I look at male models, I am not turned on…at all. I don’t know any two women who would agree as far as what they find attractive. So, in essence what is thrown in our face doesn’t make sense.
For a woman, the ‘perfect’ butt is a not flat but not too big. The perfect legs are shapely and toned. The perfect abs are flat and let’s not even talk about breasts. The fact is that most women are far from this. So, is it meant that we all look this way? Clearly not. Just look around you.
There are two attitudes that bother me: ‘The ‘every man/woman is supposed to look like this man/woman’ attitude and the ‘I want to look exactly like her/him’ attitude. These are both unhealthy mentalities.
Do you honestly think that this person (who is supposed to have the perfect body) looks in the mirror and thinks, “Well, I am perfect, so therefore I am content”? I can tell you they don’t. But yet, if you try to live up to impossible standards for your own body, you are the one who is staring at them and beating yourself up. That is not the other persons fault.
I have experienced this for myself. I lost weight and really began to look cut. Did a bunch of guys stare at me? No! It was women. They all had that unhealthy ‘I should look like you’ look in their eyes. I even had a girl come up to me and say, “You have the perfect body….the body every girl wishes she had”. This is just a testament of the unhealthy standards and attitudes that people have. It’s a shame, because if this person was to get their own results, they would never look at me the same way again…they would be too happy with themselves!
Let’s get this straight: Just because you may never have the abs you want or the butt or arms, etc-it’s not an excuse to throw in the towel. Decide that perfect is for you and create your goals from there.

So, do you want to get the best results for your body?? When you look in the mirror to determine your goals, they should be realistic. And, over time, you should be happy wiht your results.
There is no perfect and the best thing that you can do is to work with what you have….achieve the optimum results for yourself and be proud. Always push yourself, but be content after you’ve met your goal!
I am telling you that once you achieve your goals, you will look in the mirror and say, “You know what? I was perfect all along!”
