HOW: Take the Doxycycline every day at the same time followed by a large glass of water.
WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR: Doxycycline Side Effects
People who have used Doxycycline as a prophylactic have experienced one or more of the following side effects whilst on the drug.
- Loss of appetite or anorexia
- Glossitis or soreness of the tongue
- Oral Thrush
- Blurring of Vision
- Tinnitus or ringing in the ears
Important: Sensitivity to sunlight is often one of the more infrequent side effects, so we recommend you use plenty of sunscreen to avoid sunburn and high body heat exposure. If you are already prone to sunburn or if you experience severe sunburn whilst taking Doxycycline, we advise you to change to another anti-malarial prophylactic.
